What to wear for dinner gala?

I would go with http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3031894?origin=category&resultback=0 or #2 choice http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3145375?origin=category&resultback=221, but they are all beautiful. I think the 1st one would work fantastic for a dinner gala (uming its more on the formal end of the spectrum)
