Would it be alright to use my inhaler?

I have a Proair Hfa It say's it has 90 mcg ( whatever that means) my docter said to only use it every 4 to 6 hour's but it's only been 2 and im having shortness of breath again, would it be alright to use it now or should i just wait for my shortness of breath to p?
