Can I ask a nurse or a medical student on Y!A a question?

I wouldn't worry. What you did in the past you did when you were young and Im sure your body will not suffer any long term effects. These varicose veins are not a sign of anything. They are genetic and a have nothing to do with your liver (which is much lower and at the back of you abdomen). They are basiacally old veins that happen to most people, they have nothing to do with your lifestyle. Good on you for stopping the pills, you stopped with enough time for your body to recover. Remember at 24 your body has finished puberty and you will start to show some signs of aging (varicose veins, fine lines, some wrinkles, etc) and it is all fine.
