Okay me and this guy have a greta friend relationship but?

he acts dumb n flirty and he sits by me and i really like him and i have never stopped liking him but i got his friend to ask him outy for me and he said no and then the guy never said anything about it to me but his friend the little wezel told ppl anywayz i really like him what do i do i think he likes me but he will say no if i ask him out but he reliaes on me for everything.... i am soo confused help!
